Description: Adidat Retard contains Nifedipine a once-a-day controlled-release tablet for oral administration designed to deliver 60mg of nifedipine. Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker that inhibits the influx of calcium ions through L-type calcium channels in the cell membrane of cardiac and smooth muscle. This leads to the relaxation of vascular smooth muscle and dilatation of coronary and systemic arteries, thereby reducing blood pressure and decreasing the frequency and severity of angina attacks.
