Description: Augmentin tablets are a combination antibiotic containing amoxicillin trihydrate, a β-lactam antibiotic, and potassium clavulanate, a β-lactamase inhibitor. This combination extends the antibiotic spectrum of amoxicillin to include bacteria normally resistant to antibiotics.
