Description: Metaprim is an anti-parasitic medication that treats toxoplasmosis infections. You get toxoplasmosis after contact with cat poop (feces) or eating contaminated food. You can take this tablet orally with a glass of water as directed. Make sure you take all of your medication as directed even if you feel better. Metaprim produces a sequential double blockade of bacterial metabolism, giving a level of activity many times greater than that obtained by either drug alone. Metaprim provides effective antibacterial activity against a wide range of infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
