Description:

Nemecillin (Ampicillin) oral suspension is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

Key Features:

• Dosage: Adults: 250-500 mg every 6 hours; Children: 50-100 mg/kg/day orally divided every 4-6 hours, not to exceed 12 g/day.
• Administration: Take on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before and 2 hours after food. Use a marked oral syringe to measure each dose.
• Storage: Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. Discard any unused portion after 14 days.

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash.
• Serious: Anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP).

Caution:

• Allergic Reactions: Serious hypersensitivity reactions can occur. Discontinue if an allergic reaction occurs.
• Diarrhea: Bloody or watery diarrhea with or without stomach cramps and fever after stopping the drug should be reported to a doctor
